Darul Irfan’s work is conducted through nine Academic Centers which span across various Islamic sciences and cultural pursuits.
Each center is constituted of major and significant programs and projects, and all of these play a vital role in the vision of Darul Irfan.

The Darul Fuqaha Center for Law and Legal Theory
Darul Fuqaha specializes in Islamic Law and Legal Theory. It unites between the classical framework of learning, which relies on the tradition of the ijāzah when passing on Islamic knowledge from scholars to students, with the more contemporary work of institutions of higher education.
We aspire to train scholars who hold an expansive civilizational vision, such as reviving the Ummah’s sciences and investing in serving humanity, fostering a comprehensive knowledge renaissance that will revive the Ummah’s civilizational duty, and nurturing future generations’ education, faith, and values.

The Darul Makhtutat Center for Manuscript Studies
Darul Makhtutat specializes in Arabic Manuscripts and its related sciences. The center includes several initiatives including: a manuscripts specialization program, a digital library of manuscripts, an manuscript encyclopedia, symposiums, annual conferences, manuscript digitization efforts, and more. The program is housed in the historical Sultanahmet Madrasa in the heart of Istanbul in partnership with the Sultanahmet Waqf.

The Darul Muwashahat Center for Traditional Poetry and Song
Darul Muwashahat specializes in preserving and reviving the tradition of spiritual poetry and song. Since its inception in 2021, the program has held monthly gatherings in Istanbul’s historical mosques and spaces to share muwashahat that connect the hearts to Allah and His Messenger (Peace and blessings be upon him). Other activities include training programs for aspiring munshids, preserving historical audio recordings, producing new recordings and documenting lyrics along with meters and notes used in traditional poetry and songs.

The Darul Ijaz Center for the Study of Miracles
Darul Ijaz specializes in exploring the miraculous signs found in revelation. With an increased focus on the material sciences in our times, the program was established to investigate the scientific miracles that are found in our primary texts through a sound and rigorous methodology. Aside from intensive research, activities include lectures, symposiums, exhibitions and more.

The Darul Arabiyya Center for Arabic Studies
Darul Arabiyya was established to serve the language of revelation, Arabic. Since its inception in mid 2023, the program has held multiple workshops with Arabic Language specialists and
educators to develop the field of Arabic language studies. Some of the goals include development of teaching methods and strategies through research, workshops, symposiums and conferences. The program also seeks to offer courses in the Arabic sciences.

The Darul Fuqara Center for Sufism and Theology
Darul Fuqara specializes on the study of Sufism and Theology. We focus on the relationship between these two primary sciences. Theology, one of the rational sciences, is an introduction to Sufism, one of the experiential sciences. As such, the two sciences are the two faces of Tawhid.

Darul Qur’an will specialize in deepening our understanding and connection with the Book of Allah, through the study of the Holy Qur’an and its related sciences. This includes but is not limited to Qur’anic exegesis, modes of recitation, history, and more. More information will be published soon.

The Darul Hadith Center for Hadith Sciences [launching 2028]
Darul Hadith will develop a robust program in the Sciences of Hadith. This will include the sciences related to preservation and narration, as well as the verification and preservation of the Prophetic Tradition. More information will be published soon.
